Dean and the Siren (End/Week 5)

Act 5 Dean instructed his men to take out the eyes of the sirens that they managed to kill. When the men took out the sirens’ eyes, it turned into bright sapphires. These are the brightest and purest sapphires that the pirates had ever seen in their lives. Once everything was settled, the fallen and the dead bodies of the sirens were thrown out to sea. Locke thanked the captain for the treasure they had gathered from the dead sirens. “To think you sell our souls captain,” Locke joked. “I know you wouldn’t sell the ship and us to that wicked creature.” “Oh, but I did Locke. I do not like to owe anyone anything. That ritual with the contract is no trick or hoax. I paid my debt to her. By right, you and the crew’s souls and this very ship belongs to the dead siren, Arphin. Too bad she isn’t alive to enjoy it, isn’t she?” “Yeah, too bad,” Locke slowly walked away, being confused. Patrick came to the captain, with questions in his thought. He hesitated on asking anyt

Dean and the Siren (Week 4)

Act 4 Arphin and the sirens relieved themselves when they got unto the ship. They were about thirty beautiful women on the Ugly Bastard. It has been long since the men saw the sight of women. All of the men gazed upon them, they were without clothes, and so all of their beauty was up to display. “Where is the contract then, we cannot stand this warmth. We need the coldness of the water,” Arphin said. “You must forgive me, beautiful Arphin, for making you feel uncomfortable,” Captain Dean said. “I’m afraid when we get to a certain age, we tend to forget.” Dean walked back to his cabin to take the supposed contract, not before he pulled Locke and Patrick. “I want you and the men to prepare arms, when I give the signal, we will send these wretched women to the depths of hell,” Dean whispered. “What is the signal?” Locke asked. “When I show affection that’s when all of you will strike.” Dean returned from his cabin, bringing along a sheet of paper with him. “All

Dean and the Siren (Week 3)

Act 3 After a while the siren who went back into the water returned, but this time she brought with her another one of her kind.  However, this one was different. She has the vibe of someone of great importance; she has a sense of nobility.  The entire siren that was present bowed their head when she arose from the water. She gracefully swam to the row boat, and she ignored all the men and paid attention to only Captain Dean. “You returned, after centuries, you finally return and pay visit to me,” the siren said. “Oh, and what wonderful form you had taken, such fine work he is.” “This body isn’t too bad isn’t it,” Dean smug. “I had grown tired of being a fragile creature and decided to travel as this great man.” The pirates were confused how their captain was acquitted with such a rare creature, but at this point they did not dare to speak between the two of them. “Have you found what you have been seeking for?” the siren asked. “No, I have not, but what I

Dean and the Siren (Week 2)

Act 2 The giant window of the tower was large enough the fit the row boat that the Captain and his men were on. The interior of the tower would be dark if not for the odd random shaped glows that was on the ceiling of the tower. It had a weird bluish glow that was not very earthbound; it looked like it was the color heavens were painted on. Because of the glow from the ceiling the surface of the water looked pure and beautiful. The inside of the tower was huge, but there was no based; it was empty if not only filled with sea water. “This doesn’t look like any nest or home Captain,” Locke observed and commented the empty hole that they are in. “Weird-looking lights, lovely to see and ponder. But I don’t see any man could be living in a hole like this one.” “Ah, simple Locke, of course no man could live here. This lovely home could only be the habitat of women,” Dean teased. “Women, sir?” “Yes, women. But these women are none like any other, they are sharp-minde

Dean and the Siren (Week 1)

Captain Dean Repay his Debt And as for those who are bent on denying the truth, I shall cause them to suffer a suffering severe in this world and in the life to come, and they shall have none to succor them- Act 1 It was dark and the rain dropped heavily, the water dashed out great forms of waves. The sun won’t be coming out even if the heavens allow it. Even the most knowledgeable ship commanders would have trouble navigating through this storm. And in the middle of this tempest lies the Ugly Bastard, the great pirate ship owned by Captain Dean. It is sailing through the deadly storm led by the crazed leader himself- Captain Dean. He stood strong and calm gripping onto the ship’s wheel and manning the ship, while his band of pirate crew rushed here and there to sustain the ship’s structure from the gushing wind and torturous waves. Captain Dean grins heavily at the sight of death. “Isn’t this glorious, boy?” he shouted to young Patrick. “It is only in the face of d

I am Malaysia by Renito Unto

When my favorite anthem is on, they act proud, stood up, and sang along. When they sing, their smiles were a plenty pretty, could light up an entire city. Nay, a country. Nay, a continent. Nay, the entire world. This was that kind of country. This is the country full of Muhammads and Ahmeds, Lees and Tans, Dineshs and Aruns. Beautiful names that belong to beautiful people. They had golden brown skin and even sweet dark chocolate tan, something they sometimes forget to appreciate. Something other people would sit under the sun for twelve hours to get (Laughs). These are the names that were promised a life of peace and harmony, a life full with opportunities of the future, a life of freedom, and a life of love. When they decided to call me Malaysia, I accepted proudly with my backboned straightened, and they even had an oath to uphold just for me and it goes like this: Achieving a greater unity of all the people; Maintaining a democratic way of life; Creatin

The Man in Darkness by Raghav

" Never misjudge the power of the man in darkness. A man with thoughts of a legend. The one whom believe himself on his dreams, fighting with all the obstacles which slowing him down. Never misjudge such a person because one day when he face the light, he will be shining like none else and the world will realize that he wasn’t sleeping but working with his effort in the dark. "  -  Raghav Sekar  Above is a rather a motivational quote or in my opinion is a form of poem, by a friend of mine whom I have been asking time and time again to write up something for the blog. I am indeed happy that he finally decided to write something for us. :)
