The Future: Part 4: Effect

Part 4: Effect

A newspaper headline shows:
PROSTITUTE KILLER STILL ON THE RUN!
Many of the locals ignored the news headline, deeming it to be unworthy for them to read. And so, everything went back to how they usually were.
“Hey Fira, morning. Did you hear about the ho-ho killer?”, said Damon.
“Ho-ho killer?”, confused.
“Oh.. The sex worker killer. He’s still on the run.”
“Why are they calling him that? Wait hold up, are you giving him that name?”, she asked.
“Apparently he murders sex workers in those shady areas. Crazy isn’t it? And yes I did gave him that name, it kinda suits his M.O. Don’t you think?”
“And how do you know about this?”, she asked again this time with a little curiosity.
“My brother’s a cop.”, he replied.
Before he could say anything else, Damon switched the topic to something else related to schoolwork. He wanted to avoid panic and disorder by keeping a low, a more lower profile but his mouth just keeps on running about the littlest of details which surrounds him.
In the hospital ward, an injured cop is lying on the bed with straps on both wrists.
“Is she going to be alright doctor?”, asked Nuway.
“She’ll make it through. She’s a tough one.”, replied the doctor.
“That, I know first hand doctor.”
Nuway heads back to the police station to interrogate the apprehended suspect; the sex worker.
He slowly opens the door with nothing in hand, not even a cup of coffee to relax his mind. The sex worker nervous down to her spine.
“Look, I can make this easier for you if you answer me truthfully.”, said Nuway as he sits.
“I don’t know what happened, I swear.”, the sex worker claimed.
“But you were with Nemesis, surely there’s something you remember.”, he added.
“I remember Neo being there but nothing more. I really don’t know what happened.”
Answers from the interrogatee were less than productive as it lead to nowhere regarding Nemesis’s case. Nuway was frustrated by the slow progress of things to the point of kicking a harmless trash can. He breathes in and out, calming his mind from all that was real and stressful.
“I got this. I just need a little more time.”, he thought to himself.
Elsewhere, in a dark abandoned storehouse a shadowy silhouette looms in the dark. The silhouette stands confidently as Neo Nemesis makes his way to the figure. A group of people in gold coloured mask lines up perfectly. There were two lines perfectly aligned.
The shadowy figure speaks in a threatening tone, “You almost got yourself captured Nemesis. A mistake I wish not to know again.”
“It won’t happen again. I got it all handled sir.”, replied Neo with a more or less confident voice.
One of the masked men speaks, “Knowing this fool, he’s bound to get himself in trouble again. Might as well end him here right now. Just give me the order and I’ll do it right now.”, as he ignites his palm in flames.
Neo responded by taking out a knife from his pocket, “Just because you got powers, it doesn’t mean I can’t take you out.”
“I want to see you try fool.”, as he rushes towards Neo. The both of them fought for a while until another masked individual stopped them by freezing the floor by stomping the ground. The floor was beautifully frozen in the shape of a sunflower. The individual continued to freeze their surroundings, caging them in a block of ice from all four directions.
“Merci.”, said the shadowy figure. He ordered the both of them to stop their stupidity and get their act together as a greater plan is ahead of them. One by one the masked individuals dispersed from the storehouse. A distant sound can be heard from the storehouse, voices of people screaming and news-reporters reporting on the death toll. The shadowy figure takes his seat and listen to all of it. He sits. He waits.
“This time, I will destroy everything.”

Dagger: Chapter Three

Chapter 3 Ariam was convinced the trances of various locations and visions of large creatures in colossal size tearing up the heavens, opening a vast portal to enter this realm to wreck destruction and death meant something significant with Sajib’s plan. The dream felt vivid and real, it felt like a looming definite future that was for sure abound to happen if she did not do anything to stop it.             Obadiah was glad when she woke up, and now without further due, he stood in front of Ariam who sat up on the captain’s bed, rubbing her eyes, and then he started shouting, “What the hell were you thinking? You could have died! And what then?! You risked your life just to save this idiot.” Obadiah went on for quite a bit tearing Ariam’s ears off in the process, while Bernard in the other hand thanked and apologized to her.             The captain’s cabin, where the four of them were in was considerably more impressive and cleaner than any part of the ship. Kid Against The World: Four

Chapter Four Remember, you can’t love somebody without losing a part of yourself. I drive calmly in this rundown sad excuse of an automobile, I don’t know where we are going, but I’m feeling electric tonight with her by my side. We pull down the windows, and let the wind enter, her hand is out, making waves out of it, whistling a tune she is common with. I am very certain that I am nervous, being in a car with her. I mean I used Pabil’s car before, and he is cool with it, so I’m not anxious about that. It’s the fact that I’m in the same car with this Goddess, that’s making my heart beat racing like a Formula One race car.  We are closing in to the city now; Kuala Lumpur at night is just superb. Forget Paris; forget New York or London, Melbourne, none of that could compare the rawness of Kuala Lumpur. The bikers riding the roads, the homeless trying to get some food, the youth falling in and out of love, all happen under the sleepless nights of this city. She takes a can of be

Gratitude and Appreciation

The months of getting paycheck to paycheck has kept me busy but most importantly has helped built my character in the real world. It's not all shine and glory but it has its moments where I'm proud of. In the year 2018, I decided that I had to leave something behind and till this day (or any other day before this post is published), I thought to myself, 'Was that the right thing to do?'. I got a lot of support from my partner and I know that it will take some time for me to adjust back into society. I wasted no time in looking for jobs and felt that I might not be good enough when it comes to working but everyone has to start from somewhere. I told myself that working in the sales line would be the fastest way to learn something and I set my sights on jobs that had sales in the job scope. I got a job but that was short lived as there were internal factors that hinders my progression or not being able see myself in that company that would help in my growth. As a res
