Sex, Guns and Swords: Rebooted One to Five

Sex, Guns and Swords: Rebooted

It wasn’t all that bad, playing with knives and armed arsenal were part of the job. In fact, it was like breathing air for Samuel Xin. These blades were nothing more than extension to him as he was already a weapon himself. He resides in Neo-City KK, where the people don’t sleep. What lurks in the night are nothing than targets to him, zeroes and ones.

ONE
A man in his 30s is running away from an assailant. The man with a scared look on his face makes haste as he attempts to dodge and weave around on the streets crowded with warm bodies. The assailant takes out a kunai from leg pocket and throws it at the at man but misses.
Run, run, run. The man jumps on a fence and so does the assailant but injured the man was as his attempt had lead him to be so. The man says, “Please, I got money.”
He hands out the money from his pocket but the assailant whisk it away by kicking his hand.
“Tell me where is he and you might just keep that hand.” says the assailant.
    “I don’t know, I’m serious.”
Without even thinking twice, the assailant quickly draws out his blade from the back and cuts the man’s throat. He cleans the blade by wiping it with the dead man’s shirt. Before he could leave the dead body alone. He grabs the dead man’s telephone.
    *DIALS*
    “Mauro?”
The assailant remains quiet.
“Mauro, you fucker. Is that you?” says the man on the other side of the line.
“I’m coming for you.” says the assailant.
Rain starts pouring down and with that, so does the blood flows on the ground to the drain.

TWO
Lights glaring all throughout the city, glitter itself with the night. The assailant, now stalks another prey, a mob enforcer just outside the club, Kitten’s Den.
He cocks his handgun, preparing for the worst. The mob enforcer exits the premise and heads down the street to light a cigarette.
    *LIGHTS A CIGARETTE*
The mob enforcer takes a few puff before the assailant engages him, pinning the enforcer to the wall with a gun pointed on his head.
“I’ll make this quick. Is he in there?” the assailant asks.
    “Who the fuck are you?”
    “Is he in there?”
“You?! You’re the fucker who fucked with Irene and Luno? Oh the boss is gonna have his way with you when he sees you.” taunts the mob enforcer.
    “So, you know my name?”
“Samuel Xi….n.” Samuel pulls the trigger on the enforcer’s head.
The mob enforcer’s brain parts scatter on the wall, painting it with bloody red and very life essence stolen from him by Samuel.
    “That’s right bitch.” says Samuel.
The gunshot alarmed the other club members of Kitten’s Den. The other enforcers quickly make their way to the scene but only found the dead body of their comrade.
Samuel Xin sneaks in from the shadow and takes out every one of the remaining enforcers. Out of bullets, he throws a kunai armed with a long chain. The kunai pierces through one of the enforcers arm, Samuel Xin then proceeds pulling the enforcer with his weight and finishing him off with a knife on the other hand.
It was a fucking bloody mess. His dyed in red, his shirt untucked and bloodied. His kempt look now disturbed. He proceeds to enter Kitten’s Den with the intent of finishing off his main target.

THREE
A rave scene in the Kitten’s Den with many of the patrons drinking and dancing to the music. As the loud music makes wave throughout the entire den, Samuel walks cautiously towards the back entrance with his handgun on the ready.
Two of the club bouncers are guarding the back entrance where Samuel intends to make his way in. He quickly takes out his handgun and guns down the two bouncers with ease, without alarming the others as the gun was equipped with a silencer. As he enters the back, a few girls, presumably nightshift workers for the underworld are startled by his presence but could not care less.
One of the enforcers notices a strange person heading towards him, as he is about to pull his gun out, Samuel quickly guns him down without much effort and this ensues an all out gunfight in the narrow space at the back. Samuel jumps from room to room as more enforcers start to make their way in.
“The fucker is in the building.” an enforcer radios in on the others.
Cornered, Samuel takes out a grenade from his back. Silence from both side - Samuel behind the door and the enforcers outside ready to shoot.
The silence breaks after the enforcers decides to shoot first before Samuel could do anything. After a few seconds of bullets barraging and penetrating the door and walls, Samuel smirks, “My turn” as he throws out a grenade - clearing the floor with body parts and enforcers squirming in pain.
Samuel exits the room and guns down a surviving enforcer but not before taunting Samuel that he will not make this out alive.
“I don’t intend to.” Samuel rebuffs.
Samuel counts his remaining bullets and decides to take out his knife from his left leg strap - dual wielding it along with his handgun. Ever focus, he advances to the next floor.
A dozen more enforcers are awaiting his presence but after a few seconds of waiting they noticed that no one was showing up. Not until one of their own makes his way up.
    “He’s here.” the enforcer stutters.
As the stutterer falls down, a knife was lodged into the back of his skull. The enforcers that assume that Samuel should be on his way any moment now but even with a steady hand on the trigger, Samuel throws flashbang grenade and stuns the enforcers, forcing them to randomly shoot in front of them. Samuel takes this opportunity to strategically take them one by one until the last remaining enforcer notices that his comrades have fallen around him. Samuel places his handgun on the back of the enforcer’s head and ask, “Do you have a family?”.
“I do…” replies the enforcer with a fearful tone.
“Leave before I change my mind.”
The enforcer without a second thought drops his rifle and rushes off downstairs. Samuel too drops his handgun as the were no bullets left.
He advances further with notion of facing the big boss of this final stage.

FOUR
He enters the room, breathes to calm his nerves and confidently speaks, “It’s good to finally face the final boss.”
“After that fuck up with Mauro, Irene and Luno, you now come for my head?”, says Prestus, the big boss of this stage, wearing his sleek black suit.
Samuel clenches his fist as he stares at the big boss, proceeds by rushing towards him as there were no words left to be spoken. Nothing but a clear goal.
Samuel dodges Prestus’s punches as one hit from them could cost him dearly. Prestus is not a small man but a man of stature and size. His mouth and brains were not the only things that are deadly, his martial prowess is something be feared.
“Still nimble as ever, huh? Face me like a man little man.” Prestus taunts.
Samuel is unwavered by the provocation and takes out his kunai from his pocket and proceeds by throwing it at Prestus. Both are skilled fighters, both are deadly but it was about time.
    TIME for this to end.
A sniper from a distance shoots Prestus on his leg, incapacitate him in the process.
    “You fucker.”
    “There’s no fair fight, remember?”
    “I will kill you!”
“You wish asshole.” Samuel slits his throat and waves at the sniper that everything is clear.
Samuel remembers a memory from his past, a not so distant memory.
“We’ll still be friends, right? I mean after all this is done.” says Ink.
    “I don’t know. I really don’t.”
“Don’t you have the answers for everything?”
“I work for your father. It’s not always gonna be a happy ending Ink.”
“You’re right. Who knows one day you might be the one after my father and me.” Ink jokes.
Back in the present.
“That’s the thing Ink. I know this was going to happen.” Samuel speaks rhetorically while looking at a picture from the past.
FIVE
Days passed, our main character Samuel Xin, ponders upon his next decision by a window in his rather empty apartment. It is however filled with his ammunitions and firearms along with his blades. It is basically a weaponry rather than a proper home.
Elsewhere, unbeknownst to Samuel, Ink, an old friends of his arrives at the scene of her father’s demise along with not only capable bodyguards but trained to do one thing - KILL.
“Miss, the papers are secured.” says one bodyguard.
“Call in the Sisters.” Ink replies.
“Miss, they’re not in the country. Maybe we should..”
“Call them and say their maiden seeks a favor.” Ink interrupts her staff.
As the hour thickens, Samuel Xin, our lone hitman prepares for the consequences of his actions. They know where he lives and only time will tell when they arrive. The young hitman however is prepared. His mind is prepared, his body is prepared, and his goals are clear - to survive and erase the remaining targets.
The Sisters make their debut by blasting the door with a rocket launcher, a welcome gift knowing that Samuel is no ordinary person. The apartment badly damaged from the explosion but Samuel managed to remain unscathed from the ordeal. A gunfight ensue soon after but the Sisters got the upperhand because of their number. The two Sisters, Uno and Dos continue raining down the apartment from the hallway with hot lead bullets. How can he escape now?
Samuel throws a grenade on the wall resulting in a hole, he rushes his way through the other apartment unit. Surprisingly, not many occupants are present, maybe the place is a run down area, the outskirts. He makes a quick escape from the Sisters but the ladies are persistent in their efforts to exterminate their target. Samuel prepares a smoke grenade and throws it behind where the ladies are. He jumps off the building but fortunately for him, there is a body of water to soften the landing.
The Sisters are now slowed down due to the smoke grenade decides to halt any progress as Samuel could be far away from them.
“The man is agile.” says Uno with an unsatisfied tone.
“It’s to be expected from a man of his calibre.” Dos replied.
Uno dials a for Ink on her telephone and reports that “He escaped”. Ink under her calm demeanor reassess the situation as nothing but an obstacle.
“Bring him down as soon as possible Sisters, he is a threat to our organisation.” Ink states.
“Yes madam, we will.” replies Uno as Ink hangs up on the phone.

Dagger: Chapter Three

Chapter 3 Ariam was convinced the trances of various locations and visions of large creatures in colossal size tearing up the heavens, opening a vast portal to enter this realm to wreck destruction and death meant something significant with Sajib’s plan. The dream felt vivid and real, it felt like a looming definite future that was for sure abound to happen if she did not do anything to stop it.             Obadiah was glad when she woke up, and now without further due, he stood in front of Ariam who sat up on the captain’s bed, rubbing her eyes, and then he started shouting, “What the hell were you thinking? You could have died! And what then?! You risked your life just to save this idiot.” Obadiah went on for quite a bit tearing Ariam’s ears off in the process, while Bernard in the other hand thanked and apologized to her.             The captain’s cabin, where the four of them were in was considerably more impressive and cleaner than any part of the ship. Gratitude and Appreciation

The months of getting paycheck to paycheck has kept me busy but most importantly has helped built my character in the real world. It's not all shine and glory but it has its moments where I'm proud of. In the year 2018, I decided that I had to leave something behind and till this day (or any other day before this post is published), I thought to myself, 'Was that the right thing to do?'. I got a lot of support from my partner and I know that it will take some time for me to adjust back into society. I wasted no time in looking for jobs and felt that I might not be good enough when it comes to working but everyone has to start from somewhere. I told myself that working in the sales line would be the fastest way to learn something and I set my sights on jobs that had sales in the job scope. I got a job but that was short lived as there were internal factors that hinders my progression or not being able see myself in that company that would help in my growth. As a res

Wish, I

Wish, I By Christian (a short and rushed story)   PART ONE A distant place, I rather not call home - I chose to be back here even after all is said and done. I could still hear the calls and whispers, are they a distant memory buried deep inside? ‘No, it’s not dear.’ a feminine voice echoes. I look at how solemn it gets wishing it could have been more - more than it is now. The embrace of your touch on my hair. Each morning greeted with a smile from the side of the bed.  ‘Dear, are you done? We’re about to be late.’ ‘Hold on honey, just grabbing something from the wardrobe.’ Shayne scurries. The wife starts the car while waiting for her loving partner to exit the house, she shuffles the radio to settle the mood. As soon as he gets out, he cannot wonder what else he forgot but the thought was brushed as soon as he opened the car door.  ‘What were you even looking for?’ ‘It’s a surprise honey.’ While driving to their destination, Shayne is talking vica
