The Future: Operation Star_01, Part 6: Kiss Part 2

While Fira gracefully places her textbooks and pencil case inside her bag, Damon hastily and aggressively placed his school materials as if he was in a middle of a thunderstorm. Damon walked back home with Fira after school, they had already made plans to hang out at the local diner.
“So, what was that about in the morning? All sweaty. You’re lucky you’re a girl because all girls smell nice.”, said Damon.
“All girls smell nice?”
“It’s like magic and don’t try to change the topic.”, Damon replied.
“I wasn’t trying to change the topic.”, said Fira as she unties her school ribbon from her head, freeing her hair.
“You know, I’m liking your hair color. Is it natural or did you dyed it?”, Damon asked.
“Now who’s the one changing topics here? And yes it’s natural I suppose.”
“You suppose?”
From there on, the topic about what happened in the morning was evidently replaced with a mountain of off topics that both Damon and Fira came up with. They even astray themselves into the environmental subject of the current world but as soon as it got serious, Damon’s food was placed right in front of him and the fire of seriousness was then replaced with a hungry stomach.
“Eh! I forgot to tell you that I actually saw a Natural using her power earlier this morning. Man it was awesome! She was flying and at the same time, she was on FIRE!”, said Damon with a mouthful of his food.
“Oh? That’s new. I mean there are Naturals out there using their powers, so why is this one so exclusive to you?”, asked Fira.
“Why you say?! Because she was the one who took out that metallic dude weeks before. She’s like some superhero. A super-heroine!”, said Damon joyfully.
“Fine, I get it you’re impressed with her powers. Eat your food before you choke yourself to death”, replied Fira.
Nemesis roams the city streets with an intent. He gives a charming wink to every girl he passes by. In response, the girls smile. Some of them even gave their phone number to Nemesis. Accompanying him was Fire, one of the gold masked men from before. Only this time without the mask. He looks to be around Damon’s age, even wearing a school uniform with a senior pin on the collar. He goes by the name Pyus during the day.
“When you address me, please address me by my real name Neo.”, said the young lad.
“Alright fancy boy. What’s the game plan today?”, the sex worker said.
“EX wants us to make a final negotiation with the director. He said we should be more persuasive. You’re usefulness is needed here if it goes south.”
“So, it’s almost done?”
“It will be if we don’t fuck this up.”, said Pyus. “Enough flirting already Neo. Sorry girls but we’re on a tight schedule.”, he added.
The girls were less than satisfied with Pyus’s words but they were also surprised that Pyus was also a good looking lad. (They were wooed at Pyus’s physical appearance). Perhaps more handsome than Neo when age catches up to him.
The two gentlemen entered Roesman Tech Inc. with perfectly fine tailored suits. Pyus and his plus one take a seat before being called up by the receptionist. Not long after, their Pyus’s name was called out. “Welcome mister Pyus, the director will be waiting for you at her office.”, said the receptionist.
“Thank you miss.”
Roesman Tech Inc. is a tall building consisting of many floors, almost as tall as the destroyed Twin Towers. Perhaps the Roesman family wanted to help their country by building a similar structure as a remembrance of the old.
In front of the director’s office says,
Director, Roselina Roesman
Pyus twists the door knob and calmly enters the room while a seated Roselina greets them and offers them a seat. Roselina is the daugther of the still ever alive mister Roesman, the president of the said company’s building. Pyus opens up a folder containing various contracts and information of a military program, called the EX2.
“I believe I told your employer that I don’t want anything to do with military programs.”, Roselina said straight to the point.
Pyus tries to reason with her about the profit it would bring to her company but she has no intention of letting a military program to run rampant in her company.
“We’re not a weapon’s company. We’re into science, healthcare and technological use here Pyus. Tell your employer that.”, she said.
“This too is beneficial to the human race in terms of technology. You should be able to see it in a larger scale of how much good it could bring to the world. It could save lives of hundred of men outside in the battlefield who are going against the Natural threat.”, said Pyus.
“Again I have to refuse the offer gentlemen.”
“You leave me no choice then Rose. Do it Neo.”, said Pyus with an annoyed look on his face.
“With pleasure.”, Neo stands up and grabs hold of the director. She fights back but to no avail as Neo got the upper hand. He lands a kiss on her lips.
“Now listen here Roselina, you should agree to what everything Pyus has to say. Green light the program.”, said Neo.
Roselina stood frozen, her eyes looking left to right but it took only a few seconds for the ability to kick in. She agrees with Neo’s demands. Soon after, she took her seat and starts writing her signature on the contract papers.
“Thank you Rose and have a good day.”, said Pyus as he leaves the room together with Neo.
In the Podium, headquarters of the Natural Response Department, a patient strapped onto a medical table was being experimented on. The Doctor observed his patient’s condition while the Councilor and the rest of the board members accompany him in the experimental ward.
“Will he make it?”, said the Councilor.
“Oh he will, he’s a tough one.”, replied the Doctor.
“Great, we’re one step closer to eliminating this Natural threat.”

Dagger: Chapter Three

Chapter 3 Ariam was convinced the trances of various locations and visions of large creatures in colossal size tearing up the heavens, opening a vast portal to enter this realm to wreck destruction and death meant something significant with Sajib’s plan. The dream felt vivid and real, it felt like a looming definite future that was for sure abound to happen if she did not do anything to stop it.             Obadiah was glad when she woke up, and now without further due, he stood in front of Ariam who sat up on the captain’s bed, rubbing her eyes, and then he started shouting, “What the hell were you thinking? You could have died! And what then?! You risked your life just to save this idiot.” Obadiah went on for quite a bit tearing Ariam’s ears off in the process, while Bernard in the other hand thanked and apologized to her.             The captain’s cabin, where the four of them were in was considerably more impressive and cleaner than any part of the ship. You can learn a lot

Gratitude and Appreciation

The months of getting paycheck to paycheck has kept me busy but most importantly has helped built my character in the real world. It's not all shine and glory but it has its moments where I'm proud of. In the year 2018, I decided that I had to leave something behind and till this day (or any other day before this post is published), I thought to myself, 'Was that the right thing to do?'. I got a lot of support from my partner and I know that it will take some time for me to adjust back into society. I wasted no time in looking for jobs and felt that I might not be good enough when it comes to working but everyone has to start from somewhere. I told myself that working in the sales line would be the fastest way to learn something and I set my sights on jobs that had sales in the job scope. I got a job but that was short lived as there were internal factors that hinders my progression or not being able see myself in that company that would help in my growth. As a res

Wish, I

Wish, I By Christian (a short and rushed story)   PART ONE A distant place, I rather not call home - I chose to be back here even after all is said and done. I could still hear the calls and whispers, are they a distant memory buried deep inside? ‘No, it’s not dear.’ a feminine voice echoes. I look at how solemn it gets wishing it could have been more - more than it is now. The embrace of your touch on my hair. Each morning greeted with a smile from the side of the bed.  ‘Dear, are you done? We’re about to be late.’ ‘Hold on honey, just grabbing something from the wardrobe.’ Shayne scurries. The wife starts the car while waiting for her loving partner to exit the house, she shuffles the radio to settle the mood. As soon as he gets out, he cannot wonder what else he forgot but the thought was brushed as soon as he opened the car door.  ‘What were you even looking for?’ ‘It’s a surprise honey.’ While driving to their destination, Shayne is talking vica
