INT. NIRVANA - PALACE - HALL - EVENING
Tables neatly arranged, people are seated in their respective seats. The hall colored with red. Mostly everything is red; the walls and the ceiling. Guest from both nation are distinctively separated from one another. East on left side while the West on the right. The only table which are joined together are the Eastern and Western representative who are seated on a higher platform in front of everything. There is a gap in between the ones seated on the lower platform. Creating a huge space.
JINADA(40) and his guards are surrounding the hall securing the premises. The Western’s Condottieri, BLITZENDANGEN(43) with his lightning trident tip stands close by the Western President and his close advisors.
EXT. NIRVANA - PALACE - ENTRANCE - EVENING
Lanterns on the entrance. A group of performers, mostly musicians and dancers about 20 of them are about to enter to palace.
INT. NIRVANA - PALACE - HALL BACKSTAGE - MOMENTS LATER
The performers are getting. A number of the dancers suspiciously wear on their mask and costumes. The dancers go on stage.
INT. NIRVANA - PALACE - HALL - HUGE SPACE - CONTINUOUS
The dancers walk slowly to the huge space and take their positions. Once they are ready, MUSIC starts playing and the master of ceremonies says a few lines.
M.C.
Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you The Stellars. They are tonight’s entertainment.
The guest are still seated in their seats. The royal family of the Eastern nation, WU KHAN(55) the emperor, WU LAW(21) the prince and WU JI(19) the princess are seen enjoying their food and night. In the same table as them are the president of the Western nation and his family as well as his personal advisors. His daughter too, MAR’JOLAINE(18) accompanies him during the dinner.
The dancers start dancing.
EXT. NIRVANA - PALACE - ENTRANCE - EVENING
Sounds of swords SLASHING. Guards fall down. A small figure wearing a gold lining mask stabs one of the guards from the back. BLONDIE(18) slowly pulls out her sword from the guard’s body.
STANE(24) also in mask walks calmly accompanied by his six guards in full black armor with the Bagua symbols on their masks. More guards go out from the palace with their weapons in hand. One of them shout.
EASTERN GUARD A
(panics)
Stop right there! Who are you?! Explai-
Blondie attacks the poor guard interrupting his shout.
EASTERN GUARD B
(unsheathes his weapon/to Blondie)
Darn you!
Blondie quickly dispatches the other guard with one of her side weapons. Four more show up and a fight ensues. Blondie comes out victorious by using some crazy ninja moves on them. CRAZY ANIMATION INSERT HERE.
BLONDIE
Cutting them is like cutting papers.
Blondie sheathes back her weapon with grace. Stane continues walking to the front door. One of the guards throws a dagger at one of the guards who is hiding like a coward in the shadows.
INT. NIRVANA - PALACE - HALL - EVENING
The performers are still performing. The hall door slowly opens. SQUEEKY SOUND. The performers in mask and costume suddenly start disarming most of the guards.
Blitzdangen and Jinada both protect their employees.
Stane’s face can be seen from the hall door. 5 out of the 6 guards in black armor starts attacking most of the guests. The last of the guards stands by the door behind Stane as he makes his way to the upper platform. Blondie accompanies him.
BLITZENDANGEN
Don’t come any closer or I’ll take your head myself!
STANE
You can try but I doubt you’ll even land a scratch on me.
Blitzendagen’s guards start shooting at Stane with arrows. Blondie throws one or three daggers at them flying at a high speed. Jinada escorts his employees to the secret exit but he is stop by one of the performers.
PERFORMER A
Ah ah ah. You’re not going anywhere mister guard.
JINADA
Move or -
PERFORMER A
Or what? Make me old man.
Jinada quickly dispatches the poor lad by making a quick draw. Then they make a break for it through the exit.
INT. NIRVANA - PALACE - EXIT - CONTINUOUS
Jinada and his employees escape but one of the attackers have already block the entrance and they have no other choice but to go back where they came from. Jinada fights the attackers while his employees go back in where they came from.
INT. NIRVANA - PALACE - HALL - EVENING
Stane casually makes his way onto the upper platform. Blitzendagen faces off against Blondie. They both are fighting and Blitzendagen is having a hard time. The president and his fellow advisors are at the mercy of Stane and his group.
Most of the guards in the hall are either disarm or knocked out.
STANE
Sit mister president. You too as well mister emperor.
WESTERN PRESIDENT
What do you want from us? This is an insult. Do you know what’s the consequences boy for attacking an official from the western nation.
STANE
(looks in front of the crowd)
I do mister president. What I want is something you can’t give. Freedom and the means of doing so.
The emperor notices the six guards are wearing the Elite costume and mask.
Jinada comes in back. He rushes to Stane’s location. He draws out his sword and the two fight but Stane prove to be much more than he can handle. Suddenly one of the guards that was at the hall entrance is now facing off against Jinada. The mysterious guard, LUCIAN(21) is protecting Stane.
JINADA
Back away or I’ll have to kill you also.
The mysterious guard in mask speaks in a robotic-like voice because of the mask.
LUCIAN
Ho? Make me then.
The two fight. Lucian blocks Jinada’s sword with his arm. There is a metallic SOUND when Lucian blocks Jinada’s sword. Everyone is surprise even the old man.
JINADA
Who are you? What are you?
LUCIAN
I’m your worst nightmare.
Continue fighting. Lucian manages to would him, fatally would him.
WU KHAN
Jinada! Get up Jinada.
Jinada on the floor bleeding. No words are utter.
JINADA
(about to die)
Uhhh... arggg
(dies)
Lucian cleans his blade. Blitzendagen is also disarm at this point by Blondie.
STANE
Now where were we? Yes. I am here to announce that the western nation is no more. Mister president this includes you. You and your government has run the country for so long. Now the people are getting wary and restless. I am simply providing an answer to the problem.
WESTERN PRESIDENT
Are you a citizen of the Western nation?
STANE
The answer to that mister president remains a secret. I am not here just to end the western nation government’s control but to end the eastern nation’s reign as well. Ending both of you would result in peace and unity. TRUE freedom for all.
The president of the Western nation looks at him in shock. The Eastern guards breaks in the party with a huge number of them. Over-numbering the attackers group. Most of the performers are taken out by the guards. The mysterious man in mask, Lucian manages to kidnap both Wu Law and Mar’Jolaine after his fail attempt in assassinating the western president. Blitzendagen protected the president well but at the cost of the losing the president’s daughter to the enemy’s hands.
Blondie throws a dagger tied with a bomb. The wall is expose. The curtains and everything else falls beautifully with grace. Six of the guards including Stane, Blondie and their hostages make a quick escape through the expose wall.
Everyone else is in panic.
EASTERN GUARD C
Emperor are you alright?
Emperor is still in shock.
WU KHAN
Find my son! Find him now!!
EXT. NIRVANA - STREETS A - MORNING
A POSTER which shows the cancellation of the peace treaty. Another POSTER which reports mask men attacking the palace. The palace entrance is quiet. The city is pretty much quiet but the streets are maimed with beauty and lushness of fresh air. The buildings are showered in white paint beauty with all sorts of colors.
EXT. MARKET GARDEN - STREETS - MORNING
Rows of merchants selling their merchandise. GUANG FENG(18) strolls around town with his casual clothes. He is holding his groceries in one hand while the other is busy holding a fruit that he is eating. As Guang Feng walks further away from the merchants’ stalls. SILENCE looms around the air. SOUND OF FOOTSTEPS. Men in Eastern Army’s boots are running to Guang’s location.
He notices the silence and stops to look around.
GUANG FENG
This is strange
(finishes his fruit)
He looks around again and notices there are no one around him. Not even children making noise and playing around.
GUANG FENG (CONT’D)
This is really strange. I swear this part of the city should be busy.
SOUND OF FOOTSTEPS the ground almost reach his location. The Eastern Army surrounds Guang Feng.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER A
(points the spear at him)
Stop! You are under arrest for treason Guang Feng of the Elite corp.
INT. SHOWER ROOM - ELITE’S APARTMENT IN NIRVANA - MORNING
KROEGH(16) is showering while humming in the bathtub; it is a bubble bath.
KROEGH (V.O.)
(humming)
Morning shower is always great for my skin.
SOUNDS OF FOOTSTEPS closing by the shower room. Kroegh realizes that people are coming at him. He grows cautious of the situation while scrubbing his back.
Shower room door is kick down by the Eastern Army soldier.
KROEGH
Took you guys long enough. I was about to fall asleep.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER B
Kroegh of the Elite you are hereby under arrest for treason against the throne.
KROEGH
Dude if there’s any treason going on, it’s you disturbing my morning shower.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER B
Get him men!
Kroegh gets out of the bathtub and starts avoiding the soldiers attempt in apprehending him. He dodges here and there with his ninja moves.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER B (CONT’D)
What are you men doing?! Get him already.
KROEGH
(does a funny but proud pose)
Yer just gotta put more effort into it men! Stop dilly-dallying there and get me already.
Kroegh takes his towel and smacks the soldiers face with it while disarming them. He heads to the window and prepares to jump but one of the soldiers blocks his path.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER C
You’re not going anywhere boy.
KROEGH
Then yer just gotta go with me.
(pushes the solder)
Both of them fall outside of the shower room through the window. They fall inside a pond. Kroegh knocks out the guard as soon he came to.
KROEGH (CONT’D)
Just great. Not only my morning shower is interrupted, I’m butt naked.
EXT. TRAINING CAMP ON THE MOUNTAIN - MORNING
SHASHA(18) punches and kicks the straw dummy while NIGHTINGALE(16) shoots the targets at the arrow range with his bow and arrows. The Eastern Army soldiers make their way to Shasha’s training ground.
She stops her training.
SHASHA
Morning boys. What does the army want with me? Far from the city don’t you think?
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER D
We’re here to apprehend you, Shasha of the Elite as well as Gale the Nightingale. Where is your partner?
SHASHA
Apprehend me? For what?
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER D
For the attempted assassination of his royal emperor as well as the western president and the kidnapping of their children.
SHASHA
Pfft... What prove do you have? I’ve been here since yesterday and the day before.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER D
The attackers wore the emblems of the Elite. They even wore the Elite’s uniform.
SHASHA
You seriously think we did this? You got a death wish then.
The guards take an offensive stance with their weapons drawn out. Shasha too is in an offensive stance. Her fist locked and loaded. Two of the soldiers come at her at the same time but she kicks one, and punches the other causing the soldier to fly off mid-air.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER E
Sir, she’s too strong for us to handle.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER D
Don’t be afraid men! She’s alone and there’s 10 of us. We can take her.
Gale shoots a few arrows on some of the soldier’s knee. He gallantly swoops in to provide back-up for Shasha. The soldiers and the Elites face off till only one of the eastern army solider is left.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER E
Please have mercy. I have a son.
SHASHA
Please, if we wanted to kill you, we’d already did it.
(she looks at the soldiers who have fallen)
They’re still alive.
The terrified soldier makes a quick getaway but Gale shoots him in the leg. Gale gives a signal to Shasha indicating that the guards should stay here while they pack their stuff and meet up with the others.
SHASHA (CONT’D)
Ya, you’re right.
INT. SKYLIFT A - MORNING
A few of the peasants are in the lift with their personal items. Some of the noblemen are inside their vehicle. The Eastern Army are patrolling around the lift. UMBRA(18) suspects they are looking for him but could not confirm it.
Umbra goes to the corner of the lift to hide himself from the army’s eyes.
EXT. GALE’S POV - MORNING
Kroegh is walking around with a towel around his waist. The people around him are looking at him suspiciously. Kroegh is also being chase by the Eastern guards.
EXT. NIRVANA - STREETS B - CONTINUOUS
The army is chasing after Kroegh. Gale and Shasha are further in front of him.
Gale pulls out his bow and arrows and aims at a distance. Shasha is surprise with his actions.
SHASHA
Is there a threat in front? What are you doing?
The guard is shouting from a distance at Kroegh.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER F
Stop right there! I said stop! Sto-
The soldier is shot on the leg with an arrow. The soldier is in agony.
Kroegh meets up with the two of them, Gale and Shasha. Gale is shock to see his friend only wearing a towel.
SHASHA
I don’t even want to know. Can you give him something to wear Gale?
Gale hands Kroegh clothes to wear.
Moments later.
SHASHA (CONT’D)
Are you done? We need to go to the meeting point. I’m sure the other two are there.
INT. SKYLIFT A - MORNING
UMBRA
Well this is getting pretty suspicious. I need to keep moving.
The lift stops at the Market Garden floor and Guang Feng is running towards the lift with the army soldiers behind him.
GUANG FENG
Close the door!
UMBRA
Where have you been this entire time?
GUANG FENG
No time to explain.
The soldiers notice Umbra and Guang Feng’s presence.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER A
It’s them. We found them.
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER B
Where are they?
EASTERN ARMY SOLDIER A
(points at Umbra)
There. Get them men!
Umbra fights off the guards pushing them outside of the lift. Guang Feng helps him before the back-up could arrive in time. Guang Feng shuts the lift’s door and pushes the lever. Everyone is in confusion of the whole situation.
UMBRA
So why are they after us again?
GUANG FENG
I’m not sure but I heard the peace treaty was cancelled.
UMBRA
What? I thought everything went well last night. I mean with all the grand welcome.
GUANG FENG
Apparently we’re being framed from the attempted assassination of his royal highness and the western president.
UMBRA
Woah, that some serious accusation. Like what...
GUANG FENG
That’s what I thought. We need to meet up with the others. I think they should be on their way to the meeting point.
(pauses and worries)
I hope they’re fine.
UMBRA
Please, Shasha is with them. I’m sure everything’s fine. I mean what could happen, right?
EXT. NIRVANA - STREETS C - MOMENTS LATER
The three of them, Gale, Shasha and Kroegh are running towards the Skylift C while the guards are chasing them from behind.
SHASHA
You just had to stop to buy something don’t you?
KROEGH
Come on, I’m hungry. Tell her Gale.
Gale nods in disagreement.
SHASHA
See even he agrees with me.
KROEGH
A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
SHASHA
Gale shoot them with your bow already. Cover me. We need a distraction.
KROEGH
Good idea.
Gale shoots at one of the soldiers and Shasha closes in punching the guard a distance away. She then breaks one parts of the building to create an obstacle. They continue running towards the Skylift gate.
INT. SKYLIFT C - CONTINUOUS
They push the Skylift attendant out.
SHASHA
Move the lever. We need to hurry before they get here.
KROEGH
I’m hurrying. This thing won’t budge.
Gale pushes the lever and it miraculously move.
KROEGH (CONT’D)
How did you do that?
Gale moves his shoulder.
INT. COMMON GROUND - SECRET HIDEOUT - MORNING
Guang Feng and Umbra are sitting by near the window. The hideout is dusty and filled with wooden furniture.
UMBRA
What’s taking them so long.
GUANG FENG
Best bet, Kroegh mess things up which results in the delay.
UMBRA
You got a good point there. How long has it been since we’ve last came here. I remember the last time we went here was when we escaped the training grounds.
GUANG FENG
If I recall, that was you and Kroegh.
UMBRA
Good times though.
GUANG FENG
You live around here don’t you?
UMBRA
That’s the past. We got to live in the ‘now’ my friend.
Door KNOCKING.
UMBRA (CONT’D)
That could be them.
Guang Feng goes to the door arm with his weapon, the Longyu. Umbra is nearby with his weapon unsheathe as well.
They open the door slowly. Kroegh rushes inside the hideout.
KROEGH
Woah woah! Chill man, it’s just us. You can keep your weapons.
GUANG FENG
Did anyone followed you?
SHASHA
We made a run for it as soon as we got to the skylift.
GUANG FENG
Now before we go any further. Does anyone know what happened? I heard from one of the soldiers that the peace treaty was cancelled because apparently someone attempted to assassinate his highness and the guests.
SHASHA
That’s the same thing what they said to me. Only they are blaming us for it.
UMBRA
What?! How can they make such accusations. We weren’t even dispatch on a mission.
Kroegh is eating his bread while Gale tunes his bow.
SHASHA
One thing’s for sure. The army is seriously hunting down all of the Elites. Are we the only ones who managed to escape?
UMBRA
How about the guys at the barracks? Weren’t you there?
SHASHA
Some of them left on a mission while the others were on leave. It was just me and Gale.
KROEGH
Whatever the reason is, those guys couldn’t have gone far.
UMBRA
How do you know about this?
KROEGH
I heard one of the guards were talking about it. All the airships are still at the dock. Meaning they gotta travel by foot.
UMBRA
Sometimes I find you just unbelievable.
SHASHA
In any case we should go after them right now. They got the prince and the president’s kid.
KROEGH
Woah woah who agreed on saving them anyway? I’m fine right now.
UMBRA
Kroegh has a point. We can just escape any time.
GUANG FENG
We can’t always be running around. We need to clear our names.
UMBRA
Finally giving the decisions eh?
SHASHA
Can it you two. If you wanna pick a fight bring it somewhere else. I need to clear this up quick. So, I can go back to my training.
Gale looks outside the window and warns the others that the soldiers are close by the area.
KROEGH
I’m fine with anything. This is like some adventure game where we gotta suit up and fight those monsters and the same time, to rescue the damsel in distress.
UMBRA
If what Kroegh says is true, then they gotta use the skylift to go down to the slums.
GUANG FENG
The hell hole?
UMBRA
There are two ways to enter and exit the Hornet’s Lair.
GUANG FENG
I’m assuming the first one is on Nirvana.
SHASHA
The second one is on the slums floor.
KROEGH
Great more soldiers and more guards to fight through. I could use the exercise.
GUANG FENG
It’s time to suit up then. You guys know where the vault is, right?
Kroegh, Umbra and Shasha said “Yeah” together. Gale nods in agreement.
INT. SKYLIFT B - MORNING
Kroegh, Guang Feng, Umbra, Shasha and Gale are in the skylift.
KROEGH
This suit is just too tight man.
GUANG FENG
Deal with it.
Shasha slaps Kroegh’s head.
SHASHA
Shut it.
GUANG FENG
Everyone mask on.
KROEGH
Fine, I’m wearing, I’m wearing.
EXT. SLUMS - MORNING
The slums is grim in color with very little sunlight. The air is slightly damp and dry. The gears which run the skylift can be seen clearly. Slowly turning, moving the skylift upwards and downwards. The people live in worst possible conditions.
EXT. SLUMS - STREETS - MORNING
UMBRA
We need to make our way to the gates. I’m assuming that’s where the intruders would make their escape.
KROEGH
Not to burst your bubble or anything but there’s like 4 gates and the city is too big too cover.
SHASHA
He.... He has a point Umbra.
UMBRA
Then what do you suggest our o-great leader?
GUANG FENG
It’ll take a longer time to cover. We need a better idea.
Gale shows the others that most of the guards are taken out at this direction and they should head there.
KROEGH
Gale’s right. It’s awfully quiet here.
GUANG FENG
Ya, I expect a little bit of resistance as well.
UMBRA
Guess we follow the little birdie then.
Gale leads the way.
EXT. SLUMS - ALLEYWAY EASTSIDE - MORNING
Gale stops.
KROEGH
Do you guys see that? It’s like someone is plotting something evil there.
GUANG FENG
(peeps)
He’s right. They’re even wearing our outfit.
UMBRA
How many are there?
GUANG FENG
Not many but I think we can take them down. I don’t see the prince though or the western president’s kid. We need to set our game plan.
SHASHA
I’d say we go blazing in. Get this over with quickly. The prince could be in there for all we know.
UMBRA
I’m with her in this. I mean, we can take them down, right?
KROEGH
Finally we can go all sneaky-sneaky and take them out one by one.
GUANG FENG
Seriously we need to rethink our plan.
UMBRA
Enough thinking, Shasha are you with me?
Gale goes to a higher ground. Umbra takes out his sword, the Want and Shasha takes out her fist weapon, the Nameless. The go in swords and fist blazing. Kroegh and Guang Feng follow behind
EXT. SLUMS - THE EAST GATE - CONTINUOUS
The intruders are alerted. Stane orders the five bodyguards to take care of the problem.
STANE
Deal with them. Blondie is everything in position? We need to make a move. It seems they found us.
Blondie starts the truck’s engine.
KROEGH
They’re getting away. Gale come on stop them already.
Gale shoots an arrow to the driver’s seat side mirror.
UMBRA
Shasha you take those two. Kroegh go after the truck. Guang you and me.
GUANG FENG
Got it. Just don’t mess this up.
Lucian goes down from the truck. He engages in combat with Guang Feng. CRAZY FIGHT SCENE HERE between Guang Feng and Lucian.
GUANG FENG (V.O.)
Is he made of steel or something. His right arm seems too hard.
LUCIAN
Are you thinking of something? Don’t lose your focus. Your enemy is in front of you.
They continue fighting. Shasha knocks down one of the Fake Elites. Umbra manages to fend off of the Fake Elites as well.
EXT. TRUCK - CONTINUOUS
Kroegh hops on the truck.
KROEGH
Why hello there. If it’s possible can you make a turn here and stop.
Stane pulls Kroegh from the side.
STANE
Aren’t you a talkative one.
KROEGH
I get that a lot.
Stane takes out his weapon and Kroegh is in awe because of the weapon.
KROEGH (CONT’D)
Woah. That is ONE HUGE weapon you got there.
STANE
Why, thank you. I get that a lot as well.
Stane slashes Kroegh but he manages to dodge it. CRAZY FIGHT SCENE HERE.
KROEGH (V.O.)
Where the heck is Gale when you need him.
Gale jumps from one building to another catching up with the truck. He shoots two arrows at the tires. Truck is at halt near the gate. Blondie gets out of the car and throws a few throwing daggers at Gale. The gatekeepers are alerted.
KROEGH
So where did you put the prince? Is he here?
(peeps)
STANE
He’s long way gone.
KROEGH
Interesting. You don’t mind me checking what’s inside the truck then, do you?
STANE
By all means, go ahead.
Stane jumps off the truck. Blondie throws one of her explosive daggers.
KROEGH
(looks into the truck)
Hey, there’s nothing in here!
Truck explodes but Kroegh manages to jump out of there in time.
EXT. SLUMS - THE EAST GATE - CONTINUOUS
GUANG FENG
What happened?
Lucian attacks Guang Feng.
UMBRA
They’re not in there.
A truck speeds through them. Kroegh manages to catch a glimpse of who is in the truck, the prince and the western president’s daughter.
KROEGH
They’re in there! And god damn that girl is hot.
Gale shoots a barrage of arrows but to no avail. Shasha punches the side of the truck but one of the remaining Fake Elites fends her off. Blondie, Stane and other two fake elites jump on the truck.
GUANG FENG
You’re not going anywhere.
Lucian kicks Guang Feng and runs to the truck in time.
KROEGH
Not gonna lie, but we suck big time.
GUANG FENG
(angry)
Told you we need to have a plan! You just had to go in without one, don’t you?
UMBRA
If we had to wait for you great plan, we wouldn’t know who we’d be facing against in the first. You should be grateful.
GUANG FENG
Yeah but they escaped. Happy now? Stupid fool.
UMBRA
Whatchu say? Say it again.
GUANG FENG
I said stupid fool.
Umbra tries to attack Guang Feng but Shasha stops him.
SHASHA
We need to go after them. This is our only opportunity.
GUANG FENG
She’s right we need to make move before the army shows up.
KROEGH
I’m hungry though, can we make a stop somewhere first.
Shasha knocks Kroegh’s head.
SHASHA
We gotta go already. Gale come on.
GUANG FENG
We can use the truck there. It looks like it’s working.
UMBRA
Just to let you know, I’m doing this out of kindness and obligation. I have no use of people who will slow me down.
GUANG FENG
Likewise fool.
INT. NIRVANA - PALACE THRONE ROOM - MORNING
The throne room is bathe in gold designs. Antiques of the old are neatly arranged. The emperor is sitting on his throne.
WU KHAN
I thank you for coming all this way, Hwang Sisters.
HWANG YI
It was no problem at all your majesty.
WU KHAN
I ask of you, no I beg of you to rescue my son who was kidnapped and dispose those involve in this.
HWANG YI
Yes your majesty but what of the western president’s daughter?
WU KHAN
Bring her in one piece as well. I beg of you sisters. Please bring back my son.
HWANG YI
We will your majesty, you have my word.
HWANG YI(23), HWANG YI(18) and HWANG KEE(17) move out from the throne bearing a unique symbol on their clothes.
