Sex, Guns and Words: Sex/ven

SEXEN
He wakes up again like any other normal day but noticed two missed calls from the lady he met last week or was it the week before. He picked up the phone but made no effort to even call back, instead he walked towards the kitchen to grab something to eat.
How he wish he was still living with his parents but unfortunately their tale ended a few years back. Even with the financial aid left by his parents was not enough to fully cover his tuition fees as most of it goes to his younger siblings.
He hid the sidearm back in his kitchen drawer before leaving the apartment. Why?
“Remember the training. Never be naive. Stay focus or you stay dead.” said Anthony as he motivates Sam to be better than he was yesterday.
“Sir?” said Sam.
“Call me sir again and you get 50 push ups. Give me 10 now!”
Sam does the push ups and asked again but this time he address his senior by his first name, “Anthony, how long have you been in this program.”
“About two years now.” he replied. Sam notices Anthony’s left hand has only three fingers. Anthony notices the young lad’s curiosity.
“It was an operation last year back in South Africa.”
Sam returns to the present to only be greeted by Susan at the front door. She gives him a kiss before they depart to their main campus.
“Anything interesting happened last week?” she asked.
Sam did not answer verbally but with only his facial expression. Susan took it as nothing interesting happened.
On their way, they noticed how lovely the old couple were, held hands while walking. Susan took the initiative to hold Sam’s hand since he was too oblivious about her wants. However, he noticed her facial expression, she wanted the same feeling that she got from watching the old couple. As a result, he took her hand first.
This made her smile. He too smiled.
They continued to hold hands until Sam dropped her off in front of her classroom before going to his class. He kissed her before departing. As soon as she got in, a man with a rough voice approached him, “Lovely view.”
He turned back and replied, “What are you doing here Roza?”
“You know why I’m here.”
“I have class now. Can we talk after that?” he insisted.
“Fine. I have the whole day off anyway. Your place yes? Is the key still at the same place?”
Sam nodded.

The Man in Darkness by Raghav

" Never misjudge the power of the man in darkness. A man with thoughts of a legend. The one whom believe himself on his dreams, fighting with all the obstacles which slowing him down. Never misjudge such a person because one day when he face the light, he will be shining like none else and the world will realize that he wasn’t sleeping but working with his effort in the dark. "  -  Raghav Sekar  Above is a rather a motivational quote or in my opinion is a form of poem, by a friend of mine whom I have been asking time and time again to write up something for the blog. I am indeed happy that he finally decided to write something for us. :)
